CROSS COUNTRY TEAM ADVANCES FROM AREA TO STATE
Patriots charge forward with a historic win
On November 1, 2025, at the cross‐country course of Darlington High School in Rome, GA, the Class 1A–3A Private schools gathered for the GHSA Sectional 2 meet (Areas 3 & 4). Amid stiff competition and crisp autumn air, our Mount Pisgah Christian School Patriots landed a spot at the upcoming state meet and secured a moment of clear achievement for the team.
A Day of Team Focus
Our athletes showed great resilience and focus, running the 5K varsity races with purpose and pace. The girls' team ended the day as Area 3 Champions with three girls finishing in the top 20, a noteworthy achicement for the team. The boys team also had a strong showing, taking home the title of Area 3 runners-up. The collective team effort was enough to move them into a qualifying position for the state competition. Mount Pisgah Chrisitan School culture, combined with strong athletic commitment, shone through in this sectional meet.
What Advancement Means
By advancing from Sectional 2, the Patriots earned the right to compete at the GHSA state meet. This is not just a recognition of speed or time, but of teamwork, preparation, and the ability to perform under pressure. With the state meet looming, the team now shifts focus toward rest, recovery, fine‐tuning strategy, and mental preparation for the next level.
Voices of the Team
"It feels really rewarding to win our Area. We've run so many miles to get to this point. This team has worked so hard, and we've improved so much throughout the season," says sophomore athlete Abby Mutch. Her teammate, KC Finch, agrees, adding, "We are so proud of what we have accomplished, together!"
Looking Ahead
With State on the horizon, the Mount Pisgah Christian School community will rally behind the Patriots as they carry their school’s values onto the state course.
Congratulations to our athletes on a sectional win that sets the stage for the next chapter. We’ll be cheering all the way to state!
